For our longtime clients’ second home retreat, we reimagined this Newport, RI residence with a timeless aesthetic that moves beyond the typical coastal style. Nestled among historic homes in the heart of Newport’s downtown, the design embraces rich hues and a historically inspired palette, paying homage to the city’s Gilded Age grandeur. A thoughtful mix of modern furnishings and vintage finds strikes the perfect balance between old and new. Working with the home’s strong architectural bones, our scope included full furnishings and decoration, as well as key renovations such as a reconfigured third floor, a new primary bath, upgrades to the kitchen and butler’s pantry, and the transformation of the unfinished basement into a functional living space.
